How to use
- Press the red 'Record' button and allow microphone access when the browser asks.
- Speak so the level bar stays in the green. Pause and resume whenever you need.
- Press 'Stop', listen back, trim the start and end if you like, and save as MP3, WAV or the original format.
FAQ
Is it free? Is there a time limit?
It's free with no sign-up. There's no time limit, but recordings are kept in memory, so for very long sessions (2+ hours) save in parts.
Are my recordings uploaded?
No. Recording and converting happen inside your browser. The recording disappears when you close the tab, so download it first.
I blocked the microphone. How do I allow it?
Click the lock (or camera) icon in the address bar, set Microphone to Allow and reload. On Windows, also check Settings → Privacy → Microphone.
Does it work on phones?
Yes, in Chrome and Samsung Internet on Android and Safari on iPhone. Recording may stop if the screen turns off or you switch apps.
Is MP3 good enough for voice?
Yes. 128 kbps MP3 sounds practically identical to the original for speech. Choose WAV if you plan to edit it.
