QR Code Scanner (Camera & Image)
Point your camera at a QR code or upload a photo or screenshot to read it instantly. Links never open on their own: you see the real domain first, which helps you avoid QR phishing. Images stay on your device.

How to use
- Under 'Camera', press 'Start camera' and hold the QR code inside the square. Phones use the rear camera first.
- No camera, or on a PC? Switch to 'Image file' and upload a photo or screenshot, or paste one with Ctrl+V.
- Check the domain, then press 'Open'. Wi-Fi codes show the network name and password; contacts can be saved as a .vcf file.
FAQ
Can I scan a QR code on my computer?
Yes. Use your laptop webcam, or take a screenshot of the QR code (Win+Shift+S on Windows, Cmd+Shift+4 on Mac) and paste it here with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V.
The camera doesn't start. What can I do?
Click the lock icon in the address bar and allow the camera, then try again. Close other apps that use the camera, like video calls. You can always scan from an image instead.
Is it safe to open QR code links?
The code itself is harmless, but fake QR codes are used for phishing ('quishing'). This scanner never opens links automatically and shows the domain in large text first. Close any page that asks for passwords, card numbers or app installs unexpectedly.
Does it read barcodes too?
In browsers with a built-in barcode detector (Chrome on Android and Mac, ChromeOS) it also reads product barcodes like EAN and Code 128. Other browsers read QR codes only.
Where is my scan history stored?
Only in this browser. You can turn history off or clear it anytime. One-time password (OTP) setup codes are never saved.
