Pixelate or Blur Part of a Photo

Before sharing a photo, hide what others shouldn't see: faces, car license plates, home addresses, shipping labels or card numbers. Choose mosaic, blur or a solid box, then drag a rectangle or paint with a brush. The photo never leaves your device.

FAQ

Can a pixelated area be reversed?

The original pixels are replaced in the saved photo. However, weak pixelation or blur on text can sometimes be guessed, so use 'Solid box' or a high strength for ID numbers, card numbers and similar text.

Does it detect faces automatically?

Only in browsers with a built-in face detector, where a 'Find faces automatically' button appears. Otherwise mark faces by hand, and always double-check for missed ones.

Does it remove location data?

Yes. Saved photos don't contain EXIF data such as GPS location.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. All editing happens in your browser.
