FAQ
Are generated passwords stored?
No. They're created in your browser with crypto.getRandomValues and never saved or sent.
Is my password sent when I check for breaches?
No. Only the first 5 characters of its SHA-1 hash go to Have I Been Pwned, and the match is checked in your browser (k-anonymity). It only runs when you press the button.
How long should a password be?
12+ characters mixing cases, numbers and symbols is strong; use 16+ for important accounts, and never reuse passwords.
