FAQ

Can I use these barcodes on products I sell?

You can create the barcode image here, but retail EAN/UPC numbers must be licensed from GS1 in your country. For internal inventory, assets or library labels, Code 128 works with any value you choose.

What is a check digit?

It's the last digit of EAN, UPC and ITF-14 codes, calculated from the other digits so scanners can catch misreads. Enter 12 digits for EAN-13 and the 13th is added automatically.

Why won't my printed barcode scan?

Download the PNG at 3x or 6x, print at 100% scale, and keep the white margin on both sides. Very thin bars or low-contrast colors also cause problems. SVG stays sharp at any size.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Barcodes are drawn right in your browser.
